16-year-old Anna-Maria is the new "Queen of the Rose" in Karlovo

Anna-Maria Vrajjeva became the "Queen of the Rose - Karlovo 2024 year“, FOCUS reported. The Mayor of Karlovo Municipality, Dr. Emil Kabaivanov, presented the beautiful girl with one of the symbols of the city – Golden Rose. Anna-Maria is 16 years old from the city of Karlovo, a student at "Vasil Levski" Secondary School.

She won the crown in a competition with 11 other charming and talented girls. Yoanna Stoyankina was chosen as her first runner-up, and as second – Vanessa Pamukova. The Rose Queens Association award was given to the new queen and is for a charitable cause pre-selected by all contenders.

The competition was held for the first time on an open stage at the "20th of July" square, where the girls paraded in the first round in sports-elegant clothing donated by the Sinsay brand, and in the second round they were dressed in elegant dresses specially made for each a girl from the designer with an American history - Romina Sotirova.

A seven-member jury consisting of Anton Minev - landowner-mayor of Karlovo Municipality /chairman/ and members: Colonel Dimo Gyudzhenov - Chief of Staff of the 61st Stryam Mechanized Brigade, Romina Sotirova - designer, Boryana Kraleva – procurator of Bulgarian Rose AD, Desislava Chencheva – representative of "Eco Rose Valley“ EOOD, Stanislav Bogoev and Nicoleta Beloreshka – representative of the "Queens of the Rose" Association, determined the winner of the title and her runners-up. Queen of the Rose Karlovo 2023 Antonia Lalova handed over the crown to Anna-Maria Vrajeva, who blessed the land and the people of the Valley of Roses.

A gift from the Municipality of Karlovo for all the girls were the wonderful designer dresses in which they paraded. The Rose Queen was awarded a prize of BGN 2,000, provided by "Bulgarian Rose". AD. The first runner-up received a prize of BGN 1,000, provided by the Bulgarian-Chinese Foundation for Culture. The prize worth BGN 700 for the second runner-up was provided by the company "Damascena” Ltd. The prize of the Association of the Rose Queens worth BGN 500 was provided by the company "Michel International”.

Hosts of the "Queen of the Rose" ceremony – Karlovo 2024“ were Mihaela Bogdanova and Emmanuel Sinjirliev. The professionals from Big Band Plovdiv took care of the audience's good mood. The evening ended with DJ Atanas Yanev, who stood behind the counter and threw a great music party on the "July 20” square.
