The Chinese invasion of the automotive sector brings another dose of technological surrealism, in which the boundaries between household appliances and asphalt monsters are finally blurred. Dreame, a well-known name in the world of robot vacuum cleaners, has officially thrown down the gauntlet to the established super sports cars, presenting the Nebula Next 01X concept. Although the brand's marketing department insists on calling it a "crossover", a cursory glance at the silhouette reveals a rather aggressive sports liftback, whose bulging fenders are the only timid reference to the off-road segment.

Underneath the impressive exterior of the Nebula Next 01X lies the high-tech Starry Sky Tianjin platform, which integrates active suspension and an advanced level four autonomous driving system. The real shock, however, comes from the technical characteristics of the all-electric architecture. The heart of the machine generates a mind-boggling 1903 hp, which catapults the car from rest to 100 km/h in just 1.8 seconds. The huge power resource does not come at the expense of practicality, as engineers promise an autonomous range of about 550 km on a single charge.

The rapid development of Dreame's automotive division does not stop there, as the company operates through several specialized structures. While Star Motor is preparing a large-scale SUV called the D09, which unscrupulously borrows the aesthetics of the majestic Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the other wing of the manufacturer is working on a hypercar, drawing inspiration directly from the iconic Bugatti Chiron. Apparently, the Chinese giant's ambitions extend far beyond cleaning floors, aiming straight at the elite of the global automotive industry with projects that sound both frightening and intriguing.
