The American defense corporation Lockheed Martin intends to integrate generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools from the technology giant Google into its internal AI Factory system, the defense corporation's press service reported.
„Lockheed Martin and Google Public Sector announced a strategic collaboration to integrate Google's advanced generative AI, including Gemini models, into Lockheed Martin's AI Factory“, the statement said.
The publication notes that as part of the collaboration Google will provide its AI models for use in the defense corporation's isolated systems. This will allow Lockheed Martin employees to more quickly and efficiently manage workflows in areas such as cybersecurity and the development of aircraft and spacecraft. They will be able to analyze large volumes of data in minutes. The corporation also expects to optimize logistics and supply chains using artificial intelligence.
During the initial phase of the collaboration, Google will integrate artificial intelligence models into Lockheed Martin's unclassified internal systems.
Lockheed Martin is a global defense technology corporation. It develops aviation and space technologies, as well as air and missile defense systems. In particular, the corporation owns projects such as the Black Hawk helicopter in various modifications and the F-16 and F-35 fighter jets.
