Exports of liquefied natural gas from the US to foreign markets may reach 10.7 million tons in November, which is a record monthly indicator for the country, reports Bloomberg, citing a forecast by the analytical company Kpler.
Deliveries in November this month will be 40% higher than in the same month a year earlier. The agency notes that this dynamics is favorable for Asia and Europe due to the onset of winter in the Northern Hemisphere – additional supplies can cover higher consumption during the colder months.
Against this background, gas futures prices in Europe reached their lowest level in more than a year. Similar figures in Asia have been at their lowest level in the past month. US LNG supplies are only set to increase in the coming years as new projects come online. Exports could double by the end of the decade.
