Serbia will start drone production on its territory in April, with the participation of a foreign partner. This was announced by President Aleksandar Vucic during the presentation of the national strategy “Serbia 2030“.
“We have done this before, building different versions, but now, from the end of April, we will have full-scale production of drones in Serbia, in partnership with a foreign partner“, he explained. In addition, the Serbian leader announced plans for technological modernization of the armed forces “on the Israeli model“. The president also announced the establishment of the country's first factory for the production of humanoid robots, in partnership with the Chinese company Mint, no later than this autumn.
“I am proud to have personally participated in bringing this company to Loznica. We are creating a full range of training and robotics systems. Serbia will produce 1,000 of these robots for various tasks and 10,000 robotic dogs with various functions. I consider artificial intelligence to be of paramount importance for the future“, Vučić stressed.
