Turkey is not facing any problems with energy, fertilizer or food supplies due to the US and Israel's military operation against Iran.
„We have no problems with the supply and storage of energy resources or fertilizers. Thanks to the measures taken, we will not have problems with food supplies, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an address to the nation after a cabinet meeting.
According to Erdogan, the world economy is experiencing one of the worst shocks in modern history since the beginning of the Iran crisis. „The Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately 20% of the world's oil and a significant part of natural gas are transported, is effectively closed. The closure of the strait has shaken many industries and deeply affected the global economy in all sectors – from energy to agriculture, from industry to technology“, the president noted.
“The war that began on February 28, unfortunately, continues to claim human lives, despite diplomatic efforts to end it. The Israeli government continues to sabotage any attempts to end the war. The weapons must be silenced and conditions for negotiations must be created. This illegal war must end as soon as possible“, Erdogan said.
