A man was found dead in the Plovdiv village of Belashtitsa. This was announced by the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city.
On Friday, at around 3:40 p.m., information was received by 112 that a 55-year-old resident of the village of Belashtitsa was found dead in his home, and during the initial examination of his body, cut wounds were found.
During the subsequent actions by officers of the First Regional Police Department, a 47-year-old neighbor of the victim was detained as a suspect in the attack, who, according to initial data, suffers from a mental illness.
The scene of the incident has been preserved.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case under the supervision of the Plovdiv District Prosecutor's Office.
