The water regime in Pleven remains in force. This became clear after today's regular meeting of the Crisis Headquarters.
The Water and Sanitation Department has begun to publish the quantities of drinking water that are received from all water sources on its website every day, BNR reports.
And after the regular meeting of the Crisis Headquarters to deal with the water shortage, the water regime was not canceled. Regional Governor Martin Machev explained why and what is being done:
"The rivers have not settled due to the precipitation and that is why we are waiting. At the moment, the regime has not been canceled. The incoming water quantities are sufficient. When will the regime be canceled. This is subject to discussion. We have no concerns about the quality of the water.
Reports are coming from the RHI, water quality analyses are being done weekly. The water is suitable for drinking and domestic needs. The Pleven municipality is already concluding an agreement with the MRDPW for the Druzhba projects.
A new borehole will be drilled in Kashin. The borehole in Kartozhabene has been completed. The Water and Sewerage Department is fixing the failures, and due to the normal water supply, the failures are over 10 per day and are being fixed. The amount of precipitation that has fallen over the past two weeks does not reassure us in any way and the work continues".
