The Bulgarian National Bank presented the design of the Bulgarian euro coins, which will be in circulation from January 1 next year, in an informational video. It was created in the implementation of information and publicity activities in connection with the introduction of the euro in our country, it became known from a statement on the central bank's website. In parallel, the BNB recalls that the sale of starter packs with euro coins with a Bulgarian national side will begin on December 1 this year.
The central bank has also prepared materials containing visualizations of the images and their technical characteristics for the purpose of recognizing Bulgarian euro coins during employee training.

The BNB recalls that the sale of starter packs with euro coins with a Bulgarian national side will begin on December 1, 2025, and the central bank will sell starter packs only to individuals. "Bulgarian Posts" EAD will sell starter packs only to individuals. Banks will sell starter kits to traders and individuals.
The price of the starter kit is 20 leva for individuals and 200 leva for legal entities.

In addition, the Bulgarian National Bank organizes training on the recognition of euro banknotes and euro coins according to the standards of the European Central Bank for representatives of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria, "Bulgarian Posts" EAD, the Association for Modern Trade and the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria. The training is aimed at employees with the potential to be trainers who will subsequently be responsible for training other employees in the respective organization, the announcement states.
