During the event, Prime Minister Zhelyazkov emphasized the government's focuses in the “Healthcare” sector. Then he presented the award to one of the honorees - Dr. Yanko Pandeliev from Varna, who has performed over 5 thousand preventive examinations by September 2025.

The relationship is not state-healthcare, but society-healthcare. With one goal - a healthy and cured nation. We provide free vaccination for HPV, we are also expanding the age group. We are working on the National Plan to Combat Cancer, we are also working on two more screenings - against colon and cervical cancer. Several overdue reforms have also begun. We started with the adoption of the National Strategy until 2027, we are focusing on its accessibility”, he explained.
“For the 26th, the government is proposing the largest budget for the NHIF, with a 15% increase compared to this one. 90% is directed towards health insurance payments. But no matter how significant the political decisions are or how late they are, nothing is possible without medical specialists. I thank you for showing that you can surpass yourself”, the Prime Minister added.
