On December 6 at 05:55, the regional directorate of "Fire Safety and Population Protection" in Yambol received a report of a fire in a house in the city, the General Directorate of "Fire Safety and Population Protection" (GDPBZN) informed on its website. The incident was extinguished with one fire truck, and a 66-year-old woman died in it.
Another person was also injured in the fires. At 13:06, the Central Office of the SDPBZN received a report of a fire in the basement of a house in Sofia. The incident was extinguished with two fire trucks. The victim was D. D. D., a 50-year-old man, who inhaled toxic gases and vapors.
Over the past 24 hours, fire departments have responded to 92 reports of accidents in the country. A total of 32 fires have been extinguished. Direct material damage was caused by 16 fires, of which: 12 in residential buildings, one in auxiliary, temporary or prefabricated buildings, one in vehicles, 2 other fires, according to the GDPBZN.
Without material damage, 16 fires occurred. 53 rescue and assistance operations were carried out. Seven false calls were also received in the past 24 hours.
