This vote of no confidence is different because it has the support of the vast majority of Bulgarian citizens. This was what Vice President Iliyana Yotova told journalists, quoted by Nova TV.
Yotova also commented on the new version of Budget 2026. "My fears are that one accounting table will be replaced with another without any hint of the policies that are necessary for Bulgaria and the reforms that need to be carried out," she explained.
"Dialogue is possible. There could have been a completely different attitude towards all partners and towards Bulgarian society. I would advise the government to focus on verbal communication next time," Yotova commented.
The National Council for Tripartite Cooperation will meet today on the second version of Budget 2026. The agenda includes the new estimates for the state treasury, as well as the financial frameworks of the National Health Insurance Fund and the State Social Security Fund.
Last night, the supervisory boards of the Insurance Institute and the Health Fund approved the government's accounts.
