We are introducing amendments to the Law on the National Security Service, which prohibit the National Security Service from guarding MPs, other than the Speaker of the National Assembly, as is the case in all European countries. This was said by the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev on the sidelines of the parliament.

“We call for this to be moved as quickly as possible in committees in the plenary hall. If it does not happen between the first and second reading of the budget, we will propose it again, because Peevski's security must be removed from the National Security Service. It is absolutely illogical, based on a false signal for the Russian GRU. Only the Speaker of the National Assembly should have security, he believes.

According to him, currently the leader of “DPS-Novo Nachola”, in addition to the NSO, is protected by berets from a specialized unit for combating terrorism, police, gendarmerie and private security.

“We remind GERB that their leader Boyko Borisov signed the resignation of Anton Slavchev - the deputies who appear to be quite shy after their leader, or boycott him, should do the same,”, commented Mirchev.

“All our deputies have signed, only the GERB deputies remain”, he added.

According to him, there is no information that anyone other than Peevski has security. “We will ask for a statement from the National Security Agency and all services that a detachment of the Russian GRU entered Bulgaria to remove him. You know that no one is interested, Russia has never been against Delyan Peevski”, he explained.

The co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Bozhidar Bozhanov said that he expects the vote of no confidence to be supported by everyone who has a political instinct. “The squares across the country said one thing - resignation. The support for the protest is enormous. This vote of no confidence is a vote of protest. People want Peevski to finally, after so many years, be removed from the socio-political life of the country”.

“We are amending the law on money laundering measures so that the Magnitsky sanctions can be applied to him”, he commented.

According to him, machine voting is the way to avoid the schemes and manipulations that happened in the last elections. “The Constitutional Court confirmed it. Peevski must be isolated from the political system through all channels. This is the only way to resolve this political crisis, which otherwise leads to systemic instability”.

“The rulers see that their trust is collapsing. The protest is supported by more and more people who, even if they are not on the streets, express their support. So this government has already fallen”, said Bozanov.
