PLOVDIV

There is also a protest tonight in Plovdiv, the starting point is "Saedinenie" Square.

The protesters started gathering here much earlier. Yes, there are marches tonight, as on December 1, but today the route of the march will be different. After the demonstration here at Saedinenie Square passes, the protesters are expected to head to the fair across the bridge over the Maritsa River. This change also gave rise to some speculation a day or two before the protest.

According to some of the protesters, their route was changed on purpose and they did not receive permission to go to the municipality, where they could also demand the resignation of the city's mayor, Kostadin Dimitrov, who, as you know, is from GERB.

According to the official organizers of the protest, however, they submitted this route to the fair for logistical reasons.

Namely, that there is enough space there to carry the large-scale procession, which is expected this evening.

The protest in Plovdiv today is under the motto "Come again, come culturally. The call is to show unitedly and peacefully that Plovdiv has woken up. It is time to demand responsibility, integrity and resignation, say the protesters.
