Rumen Radev: Today the parliament has the say - 1

Today the parliament has the say, said President Rumen Radev in response to a journalistic question about today's vote of no confidence in the government.

At 1:30 p.m., the parliament will vote on the draft resolution of no confidence in the Council of Ministers with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, BTA recalled. The debates on the sixth vote - for failure in economic policy - were yesterday. According to the rules of procedure of the National Assembly, the vote is held no earlier than 24 hours after the end of the debates. The vote is considered successful when more than half of all MPs have voted for it.

The vote of no confidence in the cabinet of Rosen Zhelyazkov was submitted last Friday by "Continuing Change-Democratic Bulgaria" and supported by "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" and "Morals, Unity, Honor".

The head of state attended today the solemn liturgy in the metropolitan cathedral "St. Great Martyr Nedelya", at which the Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniil honored the feast of his heavenly patron - St. Daniil the Pillar. The liturgy was also attended by hierarchs from the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church - Bulgarian Patriarchate BPC-BP.
