The government is over, but not the parliament. Everything depends largely on the president – how long will the procedure of spinning the roulette wheel of the three mandates be.

This is how Anton Kutev, spokesman for two caretaker governments and a former member of the BSP, commented on the government's resignation to the Bulgarian National Radio.

"I don't expect the procedure to be long, I expect the spinning to be completed by mid-January", he said.

And he admitted that he had expected the government to resign earlier because "GERB no longer had any interest in staying in this government, conquered by Peevski, the others - ITN and BSP, had given up, they had nothing to lose".

In the program "12+3" he commented:

"GERB has something to lose, for me it is obvious that GERB brought down the government. This was postponed because Borisov was dependent. But if he had maintained his interest, he should have resigned 2-3 months ago, he would have preserved his dignity".

According to him, when the government of a player like Peevski falls, his opportunities to expand are reduced, but not his opportunity to act.

"He does not become weaker, others become stronger. He becomes stronger because his illegitimate opportunities are working", explained Kutev.

And he added that everyone hopes for greater voter turnout and "for the government to change, and for us to introduce the rule of law to at least work".

Anton Kutev admitted that he is not sure that GERB has given up on forming a new government within this parliament.
