The cabinet was overthrown by the people who came out en masse to the squares several times in a row. This new civic energy, this return of civil society was actually the right path. But this is only the first step towards overthrowing the cabinet. But this is the first step towards dismantling this model. No one should have any illusions at the moment that some special success has been achieved. Yes - there is a resignation and this is a good first step. However, in order to dismantle the Peevski-Borisov model in Bulgaria, much more is needed. Everyone needs to go out to vote. 160 votes must be found for a change in the Supreme Judicial Council, for the election of a new prosecutor general. If we fail to do this, we will return to the old way, and this is currently the goal of Borisov and Peevski, Ivaylo Mirchev from PP-DB said in "Osche ot dne".
"They are resigning, but in fact they are regrouping with the aim of taking control of the official cabinet as well. To sabotage the protest energy and say "here, did you see now?".
The resignation of the cabinet is logical, said Mirchev, especially after last night, he added. In his words, there is no politician in Bulgaria who can "see these 120, 150 thousand people, look at them - there has not been such a mass protest, with such energy, in the last 15 years".
"The moment we went on stage and explained the problems - with taxes, with social security, with SATURDAY - the square responded with "Resignation". From then on, there is no politician in Bulgaria who can say I will march against this square. When 100,000 people understand that the problem in Bulgaria is this Borisov-Peevski model, there is no way we can ignore this thing".
The resignation belongs to all the angry people who came out to the square and expressed their anger.
Mirchev stated that "if we want to remove Peevski from the country's political model, if we want a truly European Bulgaria, everyone must come out to vote".
He was categorical that there would be no other combinations and they would not betray the people's trust.
"In order to have 160 votes, there will be talks. These talks will be complicated, but they will not be unprincipled".
There is still a lot of work ahead of us, he said.
Reformatting the power in this parliament is only in Boyko Borisov's wet dreams, Mirchev said. There will be none, he was categorical.
"Now Borisov will drink his cup to the bottom, because we will not stop until we remove Peevski from the political life of the country. Borisov is his partner and associate".
If we do not get rid of these political metastases, we cannot take the next steps, Mirchev said. The Borisov-Peevski model must be thrown in the trash, said the PP-DB MP.
We are the only ones who are fighting this model, he said. The others are just jumping around and have only good wishes, Mirchev added.
Ivaylo Mirchev said that "he has no memory of ever being on the same team with President Rumen Radev". He explained that he and the head of state have serious geopolitical differences at this stage.
"On the other hand, however, we have a fairly authentic battle with this mafia. What I see from Radev is that he will wage the same battle. Let's see. We are waiting to see if there will be real steps from the president".
According to Ivaylo Mirchev, the Borisov-Peevski model wants to "now put us to sleep and explain to us that everything will be the old way". Everyone should vote, he was categorical.
"Borisov's fear is not the eurozone, Borisov's fear is called Peevski. Fathers of chaos... I hope that those who gave us these definitions today will forever remain in Bulgarian political history. May Bulgaria part with the political chalga".
