The boat with the power generator for the stranded tanker "Kairos" will arrive in Ahtopol at around 9 a.m. tomorrow, the press center of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) announced.
After the generator is delivered, actions will also begin to restore the operation of the ship's anchor device. The 150 kW marine generator arrived this morning at the port in Burgas. Tomorrow, a technical team should connect the power supply, test the anchor device and restore the operation of the left anchor to ensure safe conditions for the next stage of the operation. The actual towing of the tanker is to be carried out by three tugboats on Monday.
The ship from the Russian shadow fleet ran aground near Ahtopol on December 5, after Ukraine attacked the "Kairos" and another tanker in the Black Sea in late November.
