There is no option to support a new government in this parliament. This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by the leader of the "Vazrazhdane" party, Kostadin Kostadinov.
He continues to be of the opinion that Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone should be postponed by one year.
"If a contract cannot be renegotiated under extraordinary circumstances, this means that this is not a contract, but a dictate," explained the leader of "Vazrazhdane" in an interview for the program "Nedelya 150".
According to him, our country does not meet the first Maastricht criterion, because our budget for the current year has a much larger deficit than 3%. greater deficit than 3%.
"It is assumed that there will be elections at the end of March - beginning of April. After them, one of the first things that will be done will be an audit of both the Ministry of Finance and the National Statistical Institute, in order to establish that there is falsification of data and that Bulgaria is being illegally brought into the eurozone", Kostadinov emphasized.
No member state of the eurozone has entered under such circumstances - without a regular government and without a budget for 2026, he pointed out.
According to him, "the whole of Europe knows that inflation in Bulgaria is more than 3%" (editor's note: these are the data of the Ministry of Finance). The National Statistical Institute is lying, Kostadinov believes.
The leader of "Vazrazhdane" is of the opinion that there is no difference between the previous and the current version of budget:
"20 billion leva is the debt that must be withdrawn according to this budget, and 21 billion was according to the previous one. The budget is a budget of bankruptcy".
According to him, in order to make a deficit of 3%, revenues have been increased through loans. For 2025, the state withdrew 19 billion leva in loans, for 2026 20 billion are planned, he specified, but according to him "sooner or later this bubble will burst".
"The deficit is actually not 3%, but of the order of 8%", said Kostadin Kostadinov and added his comment:
"This debt spiral that they are currently putting us into is deadly for our country. In 2 years we will be in debt with 40 billion leva. Bulgaria has not taken on such a large one-time debt even when it was waging wars. This is treason. This is a crime. And all this to get Bulgaria into the eurozone.
"I strongly hope that with a high voter turnout the Bulgarian people will give the opportunity to "Vazrazhdane" to become the first political force, and that the criminals will receive their punishment," he said. And he continued:
"We are about to finally send the scum, corruption and oligarchy into history, if the majority of the Bulgarian people so wish".
"Vazrazhdane" proposes a return to 100% machine voting - we propose it from June 2022, the party leader reminded. However, he does not see how this will happen with the current composition of the NA:
"The only thing left for us is to mobilize Bulgarians to go out and vote, to have a high voter turnout. Everything can be falsified and manipulated, but high voter turnout cannot. With a high voter turnout, GERB and MPS-NN will be marginal political formations, and PP-DB - a marginal Sofia formation. This depends on the Bulgarian people. With a high voter turnout, Bulgaria will truly be a democratic state".
We managed to overthrow a government with protests, Kostadinov emphasized. According to him, the government was really scared:
"Fear was visible in their eyes. We, the Bulgarians, realized our strength. I think a wave will really rise. We will work to convince the maximum number of people to go and vote, even if it is not for "Vazrazhdane"".
There were all kinds of people at the protest, united by the fact that we want to live normally, he also said, but added that they further have huge differences with the PP-DB, even civilizational differences:
"We want the people to have a say, the people to vote, the people to determine their fate. The PP-DB, GERB and DPS want exactly the opposite - here is the huge civilizational rift. The Bulgarian people with their vote will determine the future of the entire country in the coming years".
