Grozdan Karadjov admitted: Even after the first big protest, it felt like we had to resign - 1

On the day of the resignation, there was a coalition council when this decision was made and then I finally understood. But even after the first big protest, it felt like we had to resign. It became clear that it couldn't be managed stubbornly. Public energy deserves to be given a chance. This was stated by the outgoing Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadjov on bTV.

He clarified that the mandate holder announced that he would resign, and he had no resistance to this decision. He believes that the important thing here is to direct our energy into participating in fair and honest elections.

„I can't say a bad word about protest. We can hear about the shortcomings of the government from them“, is Karadzhov's opinion.

„The government was a very good team. It works well and very hard, many hours. We all found ourselves in a desperate situation, with stalled reforms. With me, there was not a single reform that had been started. Of the investments, only the caretaker minister, namely me, had made one of them“, the resigned deputy prime minister also said.

„I have loyalty to those (ITN – ed.) who saw that I had some qualities. Orlin Alexiev has not called me, has not managed me“, commented Karadzhov.

„The tanker is no longer moving because it is already anchored at the designated place for it. This is one of the two tankers hit by the Ukrainian military forces. The owner of this one in our country is China. A serious fire has raged. The Turkish side's mistake is that they do not officially notify us. Although we are following it from afar, no one has any idea that it will end up in such a situation“, he explained about the tanker “Kairos“ near Ahtopol.

Regarding the blockade of the Greek border, the Minister of Transport paid attention: “We are conducting a dialogue with the EC. The forecast depends on the domestic political situation in Greece. The demands of the protesters were presented. According to all European directives, this is prohibited – an obstacle to free movement.“

“Liberalizations in the passenger railway transport sector will continue. By my decision today, the selected contractors for the 3 separate positions have been determined. The northern and southern carriers are awarded to the only other company that applied for them – “Ivkoni Express“, and BDZ will take the lot of the western carrier. That is, BDZ will remain with 85% of the total passenger transportation“, he also informed.
