GERB-SDF and PP-DB asked President Rumen Radev in what capacity they are talking to him during the consultations on handing over a mandate to form a government within the current parliament.
"The president's uniform is tight, he is a good soldier, a pilot. The compromising, holding function of a president has not been given to him in these 7 years. I am convinced that he will do better as a party leader," said social anthropologist Haralan Alexandrov in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".
He gave an example of how excited the public is about this question - they ask him himself what Radev will do, even though it has nothing to do with him.
"He is subject to huge expectations and pressure from the community and outside it to make this difficult decision. As far as I can see, he will try to combine the two roles. He will probably announce his project at a suitable time for him," Alexandrov expressed his expectations.
According to him, the public is yearning for a strong hand, to which Radev is ready to respond. On the air of Bulgaria ON AIR, he emphasized that power lies in protest. And it came to this because of the very high anxiety for economic, geopolitical and other reasons.
"One of the benefits of the protests is that people feel empowered, they think they are regaining control over their lives, the government is a pretty convenient target through which to express your anger", said Alexandrov. When children are small, they automatically become valuable, the social anthropologist pointed out, and nothing is denied them.
"This creates a special feeling that you are entitled to something, combined with high insecurity. They acquire an unrealistic self-esteem, which is evident in the clash on the labor market. Borisov reacts intuitively like a good, concerned patriarch who cannot refuse children. If you go against this generation, you are lost - whatever it wants - it will get it,", is categorical Haralan Alexandrov. His intuition suggests that Radev's party will emerge as the leading political force in early elections.
"Disappointment with the euro, for which he called in a special way for a referendum, is accumulating, the feeling that Europe is weak, America is betraying us - there are many disappointments with the West. If they are used well politically, this will lead to a serious rethinking of the party," said the guest. He pointed out that Bulgaria will have a hard time surviving another transition. In his words, PP-DB are radicalized, as are "Vazrazhdane", MECH, there is an expectation that Radev will also behave radically, and DPS-NN will not be in a meek mood, given the situation they were faced with and thus the balancing factor remains missing. "Therefore, it is very appropriate that PP-DB and Sacheva asked the question - "are you the institution that supports the whole". He said "You can count on me," and I believe him. He is in a dilemma whether to seize the moment or protect the country. Being a man of statute and honor, he will probably choose the latter. Just as Borisov was in a dilemma whether to preserve what has been achieved or to give way to the young, as happened,", gave an example Haralan Alexandrov.
