This act of the Bureau is for the purpose of collective responsibility to the party in this difficult situation, filled with emotions - I see tension in our structures as well; in order to calm the situation, reduce emotion and show common sense about what is to come in the coming months. It will not be easy at all for both the state and the party. This was stated by Kaloyan Pargov from the BSP, after the party's Executive Bureau resigned, quoted by novini.bg.
He specified that Atanas Zafirov was elected by Congress and his resignation is being submitted to Congress.
„Tomorrow you will hear that the BSP insists on the regular budget, because the extended budget means a big nothing for Bulgaria in the coming months. The BSP no longer supported the extended budget in the committees. The regular budget, with its entire social package, which the BSP stands behind, with the position that was found - to provide money by cutting expenses from other items, and not at the expense of people's taxes and insurance, as was initially planned, allows for buffers for the people after January 1. The government also had an action plan for implementing the Croatian scenario - manual price management, if necessary. The question is who will take responsibility for what lies ahead of us in a government that has resigned. GERB and PP-DB adopted the extended budget“, he emphasized.
Pargov added that we need reason and a clear awareness of what we are getting into from January 1: “There is nothing to be angry about with this or that party or with the people in the squares. Obviously, people do not have a good feeling, regardless of the achievements of any government.“
“There is no party that has come out of government healthy. We know this process well. Sociologists measure snapshots – everything depends on how many players will appear in the elections, without hinting at a new player, who is being talked about from morning to night.
We are ready to appear in the elections as the current coalition, but it may expand or it may decrease. The Bureau submitted this resignation as an act of its collective responsibility.
Zafirov's resignation has not been discussed. As an act, he can do it before the Congress – that is, after January 10 it will become clear whether there will be a Congress.

„We considered the lack of good communication with the party structures, embroiled in power and other parliamentary decisions and disagreements, as a mistake. "They get carried away and you forget to explain to your people what is happening, why it is happening, how and what the position is," Pargov also said.
