APS and MECH go for consultations with President Rumen Radev - 1

Two of the opposition parties will meet with the president within the framework of the consultations on forming a new cabinet in the 51st National Assembly. At 10:00 a.m. Rumen Radev will receive representatives of the parliamentary group of the “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms“. A meeting with MECH is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at “Dondukov“ 2.

"Is there still life in the 51st National Assembly, or should we go directly to early parliamentary elections? Does the Electoral Code need to be changed? Do you see any problems with the extended budget law against the backdrop of the new financial and economic situation that awaits us from the beginning of next year?", Radev asked.

These questions of the president will be answered today by representatives of the parliamentary group of the "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms", with whose support the current cabinet in resignation was formed at the beginning of the year. A few months later, the APS withdrew its support on the grounds that the majority is developing a model of corruption and institutional arbitrariness. Ahmed Dogan's people demanded the resignation of the cabinet and supported the sixth vote of no confidence. The chairman of the APS group – Hayri Sadakov:

"We all need to make our own clear conclusions about what behavior we should have in politics from now on, all of us who are in the political arena."

The fourth day of political consultations continues at 11:30 with representatives of the "Moral, Unity, Honor" group. MECH leader – Radostin Vassilev:

"In the current National Assembly, we do not see an opportunity to reformulate a ruling majority. MECH will not back down from the position that we cannot support and participate in a government with Peevski and Borisov."

The consultations with the president are expected to end tomorrow with a meeting with representatives of "Velichy".
