MECH - the eighth political force in parliament, is holding consultations with President Rumen Radev to form a new cabinet. The formation was represented by its leader Radostin Vassilev, Krasimir Manov, Kiril Veselinski, who is the chairman of PG, and Hristo Rastashki.
"This parliament still has important tasks ahead. People are expecting it. In addition, there is the issue of increasing the honesty and transparency of the electoral process. The last elections were one of the most problematic. The Constitutional Court also proved this”. This was stated by the president during the consultations, quoted by Nova TV.
„We stated a year ago that we do not see a possibility of forming a working government without political betrayals. The current government was formed through major political betrayals - by the ITN and the BSP, which led to dissatisfaction among their voters. In one year in this parliament, we have seen that the majority is unable to adopt working decisions. Moreover, it not only did not listen to the voice of the opposition, but also showed unprecedented impudence towards Bulgarian society and all institutions", stated the leader of MECH Radostin Vassilev.
"In the plenary hall, we have huge and not just politically different people with a huge part of the people's representatives, elected with bought votes, corporate votes and pressure. We have civilizational differences with a large part of the people's representatives. The tension in the plenary hall escalated to the point of physical violence, because people from "DPS-New Beginning", who do not speak Bulgarian and were not legitimately elected, allowed themselves to openly threaten party leaders and their families. That is why we call ourselves MECH, not cotton, because we do not allow anyone to question the personal integrity of Bulgarian citizens," explained Vassilev.
In his words, this was "the last government that could have been formed through this type of political betrayal". The leader of the formation was categorical that the cabinet was not overthrown by the opposition, but by the enormous public pressure from the squares.
"This protest was not about the budget. It was against Borisov, Peevski and against the model of robbery. This majority is not capable of doing anything good. If change does not occur through the parliamentary mechanisms of democracy, Bulgaria is not far from a revolution. The revolution has one catalyst and his name is Delyan Peevski, "DPS-New Beginning" and Boyko Borisov", Vassilev also pointed out.
According to him, it is most appropriate to hold the elections in the first week of April - before the Easter holidays.
