And today /b.r. Thursday/ people came out. Again, there are thousands to show that they will not back down from their demand to live in an orderly and just country. Everyone in the square knows that it will not be easy and quick to push Peevski and Borisov out of Bulgaria's way.
This was written by the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev in X in connection with another protest against Budget 2026.
There were demonstrations not only in the capital, but also in a number of other cities in the country. The people's demands are: judicial reform, the fight against corruption, machine voting, the removal of the security guard of the leader of "DPS-New Beginning" Delyan Peevski and the replacement of the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov.
Mirchev added that Bulgarians want fair and free elections - with machines, "without the misery with the paper that brings those votes that the Constitutional Court declared false and in favor of Peevski."
"They are ready to defend the elections from the bought and corporate vote. To become volunteers - guardians of the vote. People know that real change happens when you have representation, when you constantly demand from it and when you have given a clear statement of what needs to happen. And that this time you have to vote - powerfully and firmly. People know that now Peevski and Borisov are playing dead foxes and waiting for the holidays - when the anger subsides and they manage to regroup. Security guards will be dropped, offices will be abandoned, they will cower in fear while they hope that the discontent will fade.
The bad news for the criminal tandem is that they will not succeed. It will not happen! These people in the square will not allow themselves to be deceived by fake imitations and deceptions. Too many have watched the brazen performances of these two. It will be cut down to the bone and it will be built," added Mirchev.
