The Sofia District Court decides today whether to keep the dismissed director of the 138th school, Alexander Evtimov, in custody. Two charges have been brought against him - for using unregulated devices and for distributing pornographic content.

He was detained at the beginning of the week after it became clear that a police report had been filed about cameras installed in the school's toilets. The police established not only the presence of 11 cameras, but also a direct connection to the room, computer and phone of the former director, Alexander Evtimov.

The devices were built into the smoke and motion detectors. Meanwhile, Evtimov himself denied having installed the cameras and told the media that he found out about them on the day of his detention. If found guilty, he could receive a maximum of 8 years in prison.
