The President will hand over the first mandate for a new government after the New Year VIDEO - 1

President Rumen Radev will hand over the first mandate for a new government after the New Year. He announced this after the end of consultations with the parliamentaryly represented parties.

The President summarized that during the consultations a common opinion was expressed that trust in the 51st National Assembly has been exhausted, the dialogue between political forces has been destroyed, and the possibility of early parliamentary elections is already looming on the horizon.

Christmas is coming, I call on the political fervor to retreat so that we can return to eternal values and fully experience the holidays. I will hand over the first mandate after the New Year. This was announced by President Rumen Radev during the consultation with "Velicie".

"The general opinion is that trust in the National Assembly has been exhausted, the dialogue has been destroyed. Early parliamentary elections are already on the horizon. Urgent action is needed to restore trust in the electoral process, which was severely compromised and as a result, an entire party was not allowed to take its rightful place in the National Assembly. I call for legislative measures to be taken to minimize the subjective factor - this means 100% machine voting with electronic reporting of the result and a control count of the receipts," the head of state said.

According to him, the ruling party has launched a campaign to shift their own blame for their failure to cope and control prices and the debt spiral to others. "It is extremely dishonest and naive to accuse and financially punish the people of the protest in order to turn them against their political opponents. Bulgarians remember who and what they protested against en masse. They will not forget who and how brought them to this situation. The government, which forcibly imposed its interests and decisions without considering the citizens, should bear its political responsibility until the inauguration of a caretaker cabinet, without abdicating its constitutional obligations," commented Rumen Radev.

Today, the head of state spoke with representatives of the "Majesty" party. This consultation concludes the round of talks with the political parties in the 51st National Assembly before the continuation of the constitutional procedure for handing over a mandate to form a government.
