bTV removes Maria Tsantsarova from the screen, Ivaylo Mirchev defended her - 1

The co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev has sounded the alarm that the journalist and host of one of the morning blocks - Maria Tsantsarova, will be removed from the screen by bTV, news.bg reported.

"This is how it happens, because the television stations also have ownership of the mobile operators, which are owned by certain people, leaders of parliamentary groups, who say what should and should not be on the news", he pointed out from the parliament rostrum.

In his words, there is no freedom in Bulgaria, and "institutions and media have been taken over". "An independent Bulgarian journalist has been fired from a private media outlet controlled by Delyan Peevski. Our job and the job of the people who are protesting is to sweep away the one who calls the head of the mobile operators about what should be in the news and what should not", commented Mirchev.

He stated that the PP-DB will fight "until Peevski is swept away from Bulgarian politics and until Borisov gets what he deserves".

Earlier today "Capital" published information that in the days before Christmas bTV is trying to get rid of the host of the media's morning block.

They cite their own sources in the television, according to which Tsantsarova was called to a conversation with the management of bTV, which was attended by the executive director Ralph Bartholomew, and during the conversation the journalist was presented with several options.

"Sega" published similar information, according to which in addition to Tsantsarova, her on-screen partner Zlatimir Yochev will also be removed from the television's morning block, as this will be part of a change in the television's journalistic formats.

So far, bTV has not commented on the information on the case.

Today, Tsantsarova herself and Yochev hosted the show "This Morning".
