The former principal of the 138th school in Sofia, Alexander Evtimov, has been released on bail of 5,000 leva. This was decided today by the Sofia District Court, reports Nova TV. The Prosecutor's Office said that they will appeal. The start of the meeting was delayed by nearly an hour, as according to preliminary information, his husband had become unwell and the intervention of security guards was necessary.
We recall that Evtimov has been charged with two counts - for illegally placing recording devices in the toilets of the educational institution, as well as for creating pornographic content with minors.
The data from the investigation so far indicate that the recordings from the cameras were directed to the computer in his office, as well as to an application on his mobile phone. Evtimov denies knowing about the installed devices.
Meanwhile, parents of students gathered in front of the school this morning, stating that they are preparing an open letter to the media and to the Public Council of the educational institution, since, according to them, not everything presented as information by the investigators is true.
