The National Social Security Institute announced that it will begin paying the amounts due for pensions to Russian citizens living in Bulgaria.
On Thursday, the institute received payrolls and financial funds from the Pension and Social Security Fund of the Russian Federation for the last year. People who will receive payment for the first time should provide a current bank account at the Sofia-city branch of the National Social Security Institute.
There are about 6,000 Russian citizens in Bulgaria who benefit from the Social Security Agreement signed in 2009 between Bulgaria and the Russian Federation.
