The most significant project for Southeast Bulgaria – the construction of the Multi-profile Children's Hospital in Burgas is in the final stages.
"This is my great hope for the next year. The most meaningful project, the biggest dream, the biggest challenge" – wrote on social networks on the holiday the mayor of the seaside town Dimitar Nikolov.
77 million leva have been invested in the construction and equipment of the hospital.
"The road to the full implementation of the children's hospital in Burgas is not over yet, but no one can stop us now", wrote the mayor Dimitar Nikolov.
The construction of the hospital will provide comprehensive treatment and affordable medical care for children throughout Southeast Bulgaria.
The health facility will have 142 beds and a pediatric emergency department. And what procedures remain until the completion of the project, explains Mayor Nikolov:
"It is about to receive the certificates - for act 14, act 15, act 16. To receive a certificate of suitability from the commission of the Ministry of Health. Immediately after that, perhaps at the beginning of next year, we will also request a contract with the Health Insurance Fund.
Once we receive these documents, we are practically ready to start work, depending on the licenses and permits that various institutions and instances have yet to issue to us in order for such an activity to take place".
The Children's Hospital in Burgas is an eloquent example of a cause that can unite politicians from the entire spectrum, the Burgas mayor also emphasized:
"Including the last three years of repeated parliamentary elections, all representatives of political parties, including municipal councilors, unanimously supported the children's hospital project - an example of when there is something meaningful behind which, when we unite, things work out".
The procedures for recruiting personnel for the children's hospital continue.
The applications submitted so far are over 400. A competition for the manager of the health facility has also been announced.
