„BSP has proven that when it bears managerial responsibility, it can implement real left-wing policies in the interest of the people - for social justice, economic stability and a strong state.“ This was stated by the Chairman of the BSP National Council and Retired Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov during a festive meeting of the BSP-Plovdiv Regional Council.
In his speech, he presented the current political situation in the country and emphasized that the BSP's participation in governance was guided by clear principles and responsibility to society. Zafirov emphasized the efforts of the left to protect the income, social rights and security of citizens, noting that it was the left-wing policies that provided stability and predictability in the conditions of a dynamic and challenging social and geopolitical environment.
“Our cause is simple and clear - the state should work for the people, and not for the people to pay the price of crises and political instability. This was the meaning of our participation in the government“, Atanas Zafirov also emphasized to the socialists from the Plovdiv region.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the party organizations from the city of Plovdiv and all municipalities in the region. Among those present was the retired Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov. The forum was chaired by the Chairman of the BSP-Plovdiv Regional Council Atanas Telcharov, who in turn emphasized the importance of strong local structures and unity in the party as a key condition for successfully upholding the left-wing policies. At his proposal, the socialist from Karlovo, Damyan Damyanov, was unanimously elected as the representative of the Plovdiv region in the restored National Discussion Club “Dimitar Blagoev“.
The festive meeting took place in a spirit of unity, responsibility and readiness for active political work in defense of left-wing values and priorities.
