Protests, resignation, political tension, fighting and kicking in the National Assembly (NA) - we are sending off a turbulent year.
"We are bankrupt, the entire system is bankrupt. We are to blame. There is no system. We are working with a budget that is from several years ago. We are not developing at all. We are not adequate. We are working in market conditions with a lack of market logic. The market is developing, we are not", commented the director of the Satirical Theater in Sofia Kalin Sarmenov on the show "Denyat ON AIR" about the problems in the sector.
According to him, we have been in a debt spiral for a long time, but no one admits it. Sarmenov believes that the government should not have resigned.
"There is no government. What did this help? It got worse", he said on the protests against government.
The director of the Satire Theater is of the opinion that there is currently no alternative. He is categorical that everyone in Bulgaria will pay the political price, and the players on the ground will not change.
"We need prepared people. At least one of the parties should look around and say to put capable and knowledgeable people in place", Sarmenov emphasized to Bulgaria ON AIR. According to him, the Satire Theater is bankrupt.
"The euro is not our fault. We are to blame. Nothing will change between the lev and the euro", he said, specifying that the price increase must be regulated by a stable government. "Our subsidy ended in July. We work only on income. There is no theater that can survive on income alone", Sarmenov emphasized, stating that they are down by 400 thousand leva every month.
He predicts that sets a new spiral of elections and called on the parties in the front positions to rethink their behavior.
"There will always be corruption. It will always be like this. The question is to channel this into some logic. We need sound thinking, not emotional throwing and lies, fraud, manipulation", pointed out the director of the Satire Theater.
