A Sliven neighborhood was left without electricity after a signal for a fire in a substation was reported at around 11:30 a.m. According to the electricity distribution company, there is currently no electricity in the area, and emergency teams have been dispatched to the scene.
The fire department reported that an electrical panel had been set on fire, which led to the power outage, BTA reported.
Last night, footage of a spontaneous protest by residents of the neighborhood, who expressed dissatisfaction with the prolonged power outage, was shared on social networks.
The emergency workers at the electricity distribution company said that at the moment there is no information about the reasons that led to the voltage.
