The government in resignation is meeting today at a regular weekly meeting. The items announced in the preliminary agenda are 56. It is expected that a decision will regulate the increase in budget salaries by 5 percent, reports the Bulgarian National Radio.
The increase in budget salaries is listed in the so-called. extended budget law and a few days ago the Ministry of Finance announced that the increase will be at the rate of annual inflation in the country of 5 percent, which is more favorable than the harmonized consumer price index of 3.5.
Minister Temenuzhka Petkova announced:
"The government will take the necessary actions and will implement this regime, which is more favorable for Bulgarian citizens, and will index everyone's salaries once by 5%. And within the next meeting, the government will make the appropriate decision."
Most likely, the increase for January will be paid with the salaries for February.
The ministers will also regulate how to apply an article from the so-called an extended budget law related to a rule on the ratio between revenues and expenditures and the limitation of payments, so that in case of insufficient revenues, payments are reduced proportionately, in order to ensure fiscal stability.
The Cabinet will propose to the National Assembly 2 decisions for ratification. The Agreement between the Governments of Bulgaria and the Italian Republic on Cooperation in the Field of Defense for the Joint Construction and Use of Military Facilities on the Territory of the "Kabile" Military District, as well as the decision on investment expenditure "Acquisition of Coastal Anti-Ship Missile Systems" for the Navy.
The Government will also determine the presence of a fundamental interest for the security of the country, which will be protected in public procurement for the design, construction and commissioning of an energy facility - a new nuclear power plant at the "Kozloduy NPP - New Capacity" selected by and approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency Site No. 2.
The Minister of Justice submits for approval candidacies for a European Prosecutor from the Republic of Bulgaria.
The changes in the CSR related to the second pension pillar and the introduction of multi-funds are also on the agenda of the meeting.
