President Radev to immediately submit Trump's invitation to the Peace Council to the National Assembly, where it will be voted on and then submitted to the Council of Ministers to take the next steps for the country's accession to the Peace Council. This position was expressed by the leader of the DPS - New Beginning in a position sent to the media.

"It is very important for Bulgaria to be part of this initiative, with which President Donald Trump aims to encourage international cooperation to achieve a peaceful solution to the military conflicts in Gaza and other regions", Peevski also wrote in the position.

"As a political leader, I insist that our country not miss the chance to be part of building the new, fairer and more stable world order", he concluded.

A little earlier today, the press secretariat of the presidency announced that Radev had received an invitation from his American counterpart Donald Trump to represent our country in the Peace Council, which aims to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Gaza. The invitation was received on Monday, and he and his team had known about it since Sunday. However, it was only announced today. Radev declined the invitation and did not take the opportunity to suggest someone else to represent Bulgaria - Vice President Iliana Yotova or a minister.
