The Mountain Rescue Service has provided assistance to three foreign tourists in the Boyana Waterfall area, the Mountain Rescue Service reported to the Bulgarian Red Cross. The signal was submitted at around 8:00 p.m. on January 21. The tourists were without appropriate winter equipment and without mountain insurance. The Sofia Mountain Rescue Service team assisted them in descending the trail by providing them with hiking crampons.
The conditions for tourism in the mountains are poor, the Mountain Rescue Service also informs. The weather is cloudy and foggy, with a snow cover of about 15 centimeters. There is a light wind in places.

According to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, today will be mostly cloudy, windy and with snowfall in the mountains. Significant precipitation is expected in the Rila-Rhodope region and in the Central Balkan region. A moderate wind will blow from the southwest, and around noon the snowfall will weaken. The maximum temperature at 1200 meters will be about 5 degrees, and at 2000 meters - about minus 2 degrees.
