A first-degree warning - a yellow code, for ice in the districts of Kardzhali, Haskovo, Ruse and Razgrad, was issued for today by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). A first-degree warning for snowfall is in effect for the Smolyan district, according to the map with the warning codes for dangerous meteorological phenomena, published on the NIMH website.
Today before noon in some places in Northwestern and Central Bulgaria there will still be snowfalls, but they will gradually stop and the cloudiness will break and decrease. In Southern and Eastern Bulgaria there will be rainfalls, but in the evening they will stop there too. In the morning in places in Ludogorie, as well as in the Eastern Rhodopes, there were conditions for ice. A light to moderate wind will blow from the south-southeast, which will shift to the southwest after noon. Maximum temperatures will be mostly between 1 and 6 degrees, slightly higher in the southwestern regions of the country, and in Sofia - around 6 degrees.
In the mountains it will be mostly cloudy, windy and with snowfall. There will be significant precipitation in the Rila-Rhodope region and in the Central Balkan region. Around noon, snowfall will weaken and stop. A moderate to strong southwest wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 5 degrees, at 2000 meters - around minus 2 degrees.
Above the Black Sea coast it will be cloudy and rainy. Precipitation will be more significant along the southern coast. A moderate wind will blow from the south-southwest. Maximum temperatures will be between 7 and 9 degrees, close to the temperature of sea water. The sea will be 2-3 points.
