Kaloyan Pargov: BSP will not be absorbed by Radev's formation - 1

Nine BSP deputies refused to register in the plenary hall, which led to the failure of the parliamentary sessions for two consecutive days. What are the reasons for this move and in what direction is the party heading - BSP Deputy Chairman Kaloyan Pargov spoke about these issues in the studio of “Offensive“.

He defined the party's participation in power as governance “by necessity and inevitability“, which has led to serious damage. According to him, the upcoming Congress should give a clear assessment of the governance.

“You can't be good at something bad. You can be less bad“, Pargov said, admitting that the party will pay a political price for the decisions made.

He is adamant that the BSP's main problem is internal. “BSP is an enemy of itself“, he said, adding that while society is thinking about elections, the party is focused on the Congress and new leadership.

According to him, the BSP needs a change of faces, a clear self-assessment and unambiguous positions on key issues. “Duality will not be well received by anyone“,

Pargov ruled out the possibility of the BSP being absorbed by a possible formation of Rumen Radev. “When someone takes almost everything from me, it means they have assimilated me – and then we can't be partners“, he said.

The BSP deputy chairman described the refusal of MPs to register for a quorum as part of the internal battle before the Congress. “Half make a quorum, the other half - not. This is not good“, he commented and admitted that the party seems inadequate on the eve of the elections.

Regarding the caretaker cabinet, Pargov said that he has no preferences for a caretaker prime minister and that the decision is entirely within the powers of President Iliana Yotova. According to him, the key figures in the Ministry of Interior must be free of political bias in order to guarantee trust in the election process.
