Illegally filmed videos of undressed clients during a cosmetic procedure in a salon in Burgas have been uploaded online, reports Nova TV. A woman from such a recording finds herself on a site with pornographic content. She has filed a report with the prosecutor's office. The video has already been viewed by over 50 thousand people.
The recordings from a hidden video camera in a room for cosmetic procedures were made in 2024 without the victim's knowledge. A few days ago, she recognized her own naked body in a video posted on a channel with pornographic content.
Remaining anonymous, she said: “These footages were sent to me by my acquaintances who are in the given group. I feel terrible, disgusting, disgusted. After all, there are many people in this group and at the very least it is too personal. We trust our bodies in this salon for a procedure for a considerable amount of money and accordingly we count on some confidentiality to be respected, and they secretly film us”.
According to the law on personal data protection, the creation and distribution of any video materials without the knowledge and consent of the clients is prohibited and is a crime.
„It is required that the person who places the cameras be a personal data administrator, to be entered in a special register. The cameras must be placed in such places that are visible to all people, respectively, identification signs must be placed so that all citizens can be informed that video recording is taking place there”, explained lawyer Rosen Diev.
The prosecutor's office is already working on the case. The spokesperson for the Burgas District Prosecutor's Office, Maria Markova, said that the purpose for which these recordings were made is surprising, and rather the purpose and method of distribution. Lawyer Diev pointed out that this salon is one of the most visited in the city of Burgas and at this stage it is not known how many people may have suffered in the same way.
At the entrance to the salon there is a sign for installed video surveillance, and the owner says that everyone signs an informed consent, which mentions that there are security and guard cameras. However, she did not say why there is a hidden camera in the treatment rooms where clients are naked. According to her, the recordings are from a breach in the camera network and she suggests that it may be from the wi-fi network. “There are two recordings of a rather intimate nature, in which I am photographed. "Absolutely malicious attack and overall I think it was directed at me," the owner also claims.
An investigation has been launched into the case by both the Burgas prosecutor's office and the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption.
