„We were the first to say that it is most logical for Andrey Gyurov to be the acting prime minister - if we follow the political philosophy of the presidency so far. Gyurov - despite our reservations about him in political terms, is the only one about whom it can be said without a doubt that he is not a person connected to Peevski and Borisov. If we want to have an acting prime minister who is not connected to the current government - he is the obvious, only alternative“. This was commented by the leader of „Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov on „This Morning“ on bTV.
“Each one of the persons on this list, called quite ridiculously "home book" - they are all political figures. And they all have political patronage in these positions, which are high political positions. None of them became a chief there because of a competition. And he did not defeat, for example, others in a competition. Simply because some political party, in most cases MRF, in two cases GERB, liked him and put him there to defend its interests, its positions", Kostadinov pointed out.
"It is for this reason that we believe that if we want a break with the current government during the election process and to be sure that there will be no attempts at manipulation, at least from GERB and MRF, because we also have reservations about PP-DB, Gyurov is the only option", he said.
The leader of "Vazrazhdane" asked why we still don't have a caretaker government, recalled that the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov resigned on December 11 and pointed out "almost two months later, the government of GERB and MRF continues to govern".
„Time is being given for some final, last deals of the government. And perhaps negotiating a, as they say, soft transition", commented „Vazrazhdane“.
„We have no reproaches towards Yotova, because we don't think that this is her decision or that she is currently determining this rhythm. She is simply continuing what President Radev had started. Something similar happened when there was another such transition in late 1996 - early 1997, when there was a series of negotiations between senior representatives of the UDF, who were expected to take power, and the BSP, who agreed that there would be no search for those responsible for the consequences of the great economic crisis in which the country was mired in 1996. This is backstage in its purest form. I hope that 20 years later we will not witness statements and testimonies of people who participated in the current backstage,“ commented Kostadinov.
According to him, "Vazrazhdane" insists on re-establishing the state.
