In the case related to the Boyana Swamp, on January 28, the mayor of Sofia Municipality issued an order to immediately halt construction on a property with identifier 68134.1935.2440.
The order orders the vacating of the construction site within three days, as well as the interruption of the power supply and water supply to the site after the deadline.
The investor has been given a 20-day deadline to submit mandatory documents, including:
opinions from the competent Regional Inspectorate for Environmental Protection,
hydrological study,
hydraulic calculations.
On the same date, the municipal construction control carried out an on-site inspection of construction drainage construction activities. During the inspection, the necessary construction permit for the established route and technical characteristics was not presented.
The contractors have been given a 24-hour deadline to submit the required documents. Failure to do so will result in the application of administrative and sanction measures for illegal construction provided for in the law.
The control actions of the Sofia Municipality continue according to the established procedure and within the framework of its legal powers.
