Two road sections in Ivaylovgrad municipality are temporarily closed due to floods, the press center of the Regional Administration in Haskovo announced.
Water has flooded road II-59 Ivaylovgrad – village of Slaveevo, in the direction of the border crossing to Greece. Drivers are waiting, and employees of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Haskovo and the Regional Directorate „Border Police“ – Smolyan are on site.
The road section village of Mandritsa – village of Meden Buk at kilometer 20 + 500 on road III-5908, which is marked and signalized.
At the moment, there is no danger to the settlements, the regional administration assures.
Regional Governor Stefka Zdravkova calls on drivers to drive with increased caution and to comply with the road conditions.
There were also problems related to the heavy rains in the Ivaylovgrad municipality on January 8. Then the Municipal Protection Plan was activated as a preventive measure.
