A landslide of rock masses near the eastern part of the coastal promenade in Ahtopol worried local residents. An erosion phenomenon was detected on Thursday, when large fragments of rocks broke off and fell into the sea, BNT reported.
The case was reported immediately, and the Tsarevo Municipality informed both the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Burgas Regional Governor Vladimir Krumov.
This is not the first time that the Ahtopol coastal promenade has been threatened by a landslide. The main concern is that the affected area is located in close proximity to the pedestrian walkway and residential buildings, which raises concerns about the safety of people and the stability of the buildings above the rocky shore.
The local administration said that they are monitoring the development of the situation and will inform the public about the subsequent actions taken.
