The "Vasil Levski - 1926" community center in the Sofia district of "Gorublyane" will celebrate 100 years since its establishment in May.
Municipal councilors from "Vazrazhdane" however, they reported poor quality performance and possible violations in the renovation of his building, BNR reported.
At the group's proposal, the Sofia Municipal Council (SOC) allocated 109,000 leva for the renovation, but upon inspection they noticed outrageously poor execution of the construction activities.
Deyan Nikolov from "Vazrazhdane" noted that the window frames were replaced for about 15,000 leva, but pointed out that the actual funds invested in the renovation were significantly less than planned.
Irregularities of about 50,000 leva are possible, according to the municipal councilors. They insisted that the mayor of the "Mladost" district, Kukurin, return the contractor and perform the task more qualitatively.
"Since the "Mladost" district "has not provided funding for celebrating the anniversary of the community center, a proposal for allocating targeted funds will be submitted to the SOS," Nikolov said.
