The Legal Committee in the National Assembly has accepted on second reading that the number of sections abroad outside the EU should be limited to 20. This was the proposal of "Vazrazhdane", which on first reading by the Committee was accepted with 10 votes "for", 6 - "against" and one "abstention" from MECH.
In the hall, the representatives of the National Assembly accepted on first reading with 119 votes "for", 81 "against" and 12 "abstentions" the bill of "Vazrazhdane". The debates in the plenary hall were once again tense - they reached an escalation, which necessitated the intervention of the Quaestors to prevent a physical clash between deputies.
The proposal of MECH to add Great Britain, the USA, Northern Ireland and Canada to the sections in the EU was rejected. The deputies also did not accept the idea of the PP-DB to increase the limit to 100 sections instead of 20.
The Committee on Legal Affairs postponed the creation of the "Abroad" region from January 1, 2028.
