From February 16, 2026, citizens who use combined transport - a personal car and the metro - will not be able to take advantage of the "Park and Ride" service. By order of the Mayor of Sofia Municipality, these two parking lots will not function as buffers, it is written on leaflets posted in the area of the metro station, a reader of FACT saw. The employee who checks the public transport cards when cars leave the parking lot on "Dames Boucher" Blvd., confirmed the information.
The announcement specifies that the two parking lots in question will operate with hourly parking, according to the approved tariffs, and there will be an option for prepaid subscription for half a year or a year.
A check of the website of the Center for Urban Mobility shows that there is still no information about the upcoming change.
The good news for residents in the area of the “James Boucher“ metro station is that the monthly parking subscription is cheaper from 184 EUR to 140 EUR. The discount for prepayment for half a year or a year is 5% and 10%, respectively.
