Bozhidar Bozhanov: Of those who said "yes", only Gyurov is not tied to Peevski - 1

All people from the “home book“ are elected by the political majorities in parliament, with four of the five candidates who agreed to become acting prime ministers being elected by the current majority. This was stated by the co-chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria” and PP-DB MP Bozhidar Bozhanov on NOVA NEWS.

Regarding what the PP-DB discussed during the consultations with President Yotova, Bozhanov replied that the topic was about the work that the caretaker cabinet must do to guarantee fair elections.

The goal is to guarantee fair elections, and for the Ministry of Interior to pursue vote buyers, not protect them, as was the case during Glavchev's administration, added the MP.

According to him, of the five candidates who said “yes” for caretaker prime minister, only Andrey Gyurov is not tied to the leader of the DPS-New Beginning Delyan Peevski.

Regarding Borisov's participation yesterday in the show “Face to Face” on bTV Bozhidar Bozhanov said that the GERB leader had uttered a “canonada of lies“ regarding the “home book“, recalling that it was proposed by GERB and this has been documented.

Yes, it is a fact that we from PP-DB supported this proposal, because in a parliamentary republic there could not be a hidden semi-presidential regime through the caretaker governments. So we definitely needed a change in the model, Bozhanov commented.

When asked whether PP-DB would seek talks with Rumen Radev's party after the elections, the co-chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria“ replied that at first the former president must answer many questions, not only the one "whose Crimea is it?".

“Our coalition has two main priorities: fighting corruption at the highest levels of power and continuing Bulgaria's pro-European path, and not being marginalized or a Trojan horse in the EU“, said Bozanov.

In conclusion, the MP emphasized that the time has come for Europe to reform itself and start relying on itself.
