Let the companies think about deferred payment for the drastically higher electricity bills, Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva said on BTV.
In some cases – up to three times higher, she specified.
„There is still no clear explanation from the electricity distribution companies. I appeal to the Minister of Energy and the KEWR to start checks to see if there is a change in the price and what is due to it“, said Delcheva.
She emphasized that citizens must pay their bills so that their electricity supply is not cut off, but then they have the right to appeal them – including through legal action.
“We received a report from a pensioner with an account of about 280 euros with a minimum pension of 340 euros. This puts people in an extremely difficult situation“, she pointed out and called on companies to offer installment payments.
