The "Doiran 2025" Association announced that, according to the verification of GRAO, 267,484 of the over 300,000 signatures they collected for a referendum on the lev are correct.
Only 11 percent of the collected signatures are rejected due to incorrect data and addresses.
The association, headed by Rumyana Chenalova, submitted the signatures to the National Assembly with the aim of holding a referendum on the lev with eight questions. Among them are: do you support Bulgaria to terminate its membership in the Eurozone and for our national currency to be the Bulgarian lev and do you support Bulgaria to terminate its membership in the European Union. Chenalova also explained what will happen from now on.
Rumyana Chenalova, Chairwoman of the "Doyran 2025" Association: "The National Assembly is about to make a ruling. The NA may consider all eight questions admissible or only some of them. With regard to the questions that the NA considers inadmissible, the decision in this part can be appealed to the Constitutional Court... From then on, the president must set a date for holding a referendum."
